With this information I would like to give you more insight of my working experience. What I have done, which competences were important and what I’m proud of. I hope to build up more of these experiences in the future.

Digital Knowledge

As far as my digital tech knowledge is concerned: I was responsible at Mediaplanet for the development of the original strategy, and a key player of the development and implementation of the digital product.

After a decade of being a print-only oriented company, in the last 18 months Mediaplanet has also become successful with their digital strategy. Based on analyzing the external market, listening to the needs of our clients and ideas of our sales teams, I developed the concept for domain based content marketing platforms.  This is a strong addition to our print portfolio. Now 20% of our revenue originates from our digital portfolio.

The question is: do I know everything about digi tech?
No. But I learn pretty fast.

Some recent examples of the content marketing platforms we developed:

A platform where E&Y was one of the investors.

A platform where Skype was one of the major investors.

A platform where HP was one of the investors.

People & Talent Management

People are a company’s most important asset. I understood that when making my choices for my bachelor (HR) and master’s degree (Company & Culture Sociology). But during my career I understood truly how critical human resources are for the success of a company.

During my management experience at Mediaplanet I saw this as my number one focus, as it would always tie in to all other business responsibilities. How secure does the sales team feel? A direct reflection in the revenue. How creative does the production & design team dare to be?  A direct reflection of the quality of the product.  How empowered do the Managing Directors feel? A direct reflection of their entrepreneurship.

I have spotted many talent in the position of manager (different levels) and supported this talent to develop further, take more responsibility and be successful.

Building up loyalty & commitment of 350 employees towards the company’s vision and goals is a good start of a company’s success.

As COO

The role of COO is very divers and depending on the company you're in. The most crucial parts in my role as COO at Mediaplanet: Strong communications on all levels of the company (from local management teams, the sales teams and production & design teams) to make sure that the company’s engine is constantly driving on the maximum speed. Thorough analysis of the company’s KPI’s and tools and actions for improvement (I love and I’m good at driving revenue with our teams). Quick implementation and follow up. People management; talent development, creating and providing tools. All to achieve maximum result in a fast pace moving environment.
